Doubtless Strategic was established in 2001 to specialise in the provision of independent financial and strategic consulting services.

The Principal of Doubtless Strategic is Hugh Ammundsen. Hugh has over 16 years experience in credit analysis, equity analysis and valuation, and in corporate finance. This period included employment for nine years as an equity analyst at Morrow & Benjamin Limited, United Sharebrokers Limited and at ANZ Securities (NZ) Limited, culmination in a period as Head of Research.

Hugh subsequently transferred to the Corporate Finance Department of ANZ Investment Bank in 1996, spending five years working on a range of transactions including valuations, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital raisings, industry studies and other forms of strategic financial advice.

Hugh has been involved in a range of transactions from initial public offerings, equity underwriting, takeovers and mergers, joint ventures, and divestments. He has authored major research publications analysing the companies, structure and regulatory issues affecting several significant industries.
